Yes. Here is a step by step guide on how to do it with NameCheap.
Goal: Get your website up and running. This means it’s live on the internet and ready for you to customize later. Focus is only on the setup part.
- Choose a name for your website (I assume you already have something in mind).
- Head to Namecheap’s domain name search and check the domain name is free. If not, choose something else that is.
- Buy the domain name. I bought mine for less than 20 € per year.
- Buy SSL for your domain. You need this so your website can look trustworthy. SSL costs less than 10 € per year. Getting SSL might take a moment, so it’s best to do this as soon as you have bought the domain name.
- Buy hosting. I chose Shared Hosting (less than 50 € per year).
- Open Hosting list. There should be a button that lets you open cPanel. Head there.
- Under Softaculous Apps Installer, choose WordPress.
- Go through the installation process (give the details you wish to give).
- Done. It might take a few minutes until your site goes active.
Good luck with your website!
